Verdict Sets Aside a Deed in Mulligan Estate Case
The jury in the case of James Banks as administrator for the estate of Mrs. Martha Mulligan against Patrick McCrain set aside a deed and awarded the heirs ownership of four Oakland City houses with McCrain receiving a first lien of 250 dollars. The verdict came after an all night deliberation and may be appealed for a new trial. The heirs claimed undue influence over Mulligan prior to her death and McCrain denies any improper conduct. The property value exceeds the awarded sum.
