Boy's stomach burned out by sulphuric acid accident
A nine year old boy in New Jersey drank from a bottle believed to be whisky. It contained undiluted sulphuric acid. He fell into a coma, weighed about twenty pounds, and doctors feared death. A Bellevue Hospital physician led a careful antiseptic and nutritional treatment using limewater injections, milk, beef tea, cod liver oil, and iron. The boy gradually recovered, gaining strength and weight, and was nearly back to health after weeks of treatment.

A Northwestern Georgia party of 482 travelers left Atlanta by eight passenger coaches, a sleeper, and two baggage cars for Augusta.
