Busy Council Session Promises Bond Issue Debate
Atlanta council faces a packed agenda with a water mains bond proposal likely, a Grady union-label ordinance, street preaching protests, Decatur Street paving, police reserve issues, and a police barracks plan. A Decatur Street paving vote and potential reconsideration of the union-label measure loom large as sessions unfold. The fire and other municipal concerns cap a day of contentious deliberations.

Death by own action at Walhalla 8 C Columbia
Fred Tietgen, a young man, shot himself in the head in Walhalla Friday night. The only possible cause is illness. He was quiet but congenial and a favorite in the community. A good wife and health is man's best wealth. In the first instance you can choose wisely and to advantage if you are the picture of good health, made perfect by Hood's Sarsaparilla.
