Rail Valuation Gigantic Task in Interstate Scheme
Washington March 16 Special The Interstate Commerce Commission is to undertake a huge project to value all public utility property in the United States under its jurisdiction. The Adamson bill, passed by the House and Senate, requires a complete financial history and current valuation of every railroad and utility asset, to be kept in a national record by the commission. The work will need a large, expert staff and years to complete, with no final plan yet adopted for the operation.
