Andrew J. Weaver brother of Congressman Weaver of Indiana died by self-inflicted gunshot at a small Greenville station on the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western line, six miles south of Scranton. He aged about forty three, morose at breakfast, fired at his daughter, then shot himself after family attempted to restrain him. The family reported prior insanity.

From Gold Mine Lebanon county a pistol duel ensued over a elopement. Mary Chesterman daughter of Captain John W Chesterman fled with Ezekiel Henry. In the chase Henry killed two men and wounded a third. Chesterman fired, Henry shot him, Swope, Moyer and others wounded. Henry detained. Chesterman’s daughter witnessed the tragedy.
