A public spirited citizen funds the $17,000 in unpaid Georgia pensions via bank on deposit and state warrants to be issued by Governor Terrell and Pension Commissioner Ling. The money will be paid by checks on the treasury and repaid when the legislature appropriates funds in June. The donor’s identity remains confidential as a Confederate veteran. Also reported is a plan to establish a new agricultural school at Euharlee in Bartow County, adjoining the high school, with a 30 acre tract to be purchased and work to begin in the fall.
