Whisky Men Convene in Louisville on Whisky Bill Delay

Postal Cards Going Out Demand Drops After Two Cent Postage

Inland postal data from Washington shows postal card issues fell after the two cent letter rate. For five years the annual rise averaged fourteen percent, but since July first there is an eighteen percent jump in adhesive stamps and twenty five percent in stamped envelopes, while postal cards issuance dropped to 256 552 750 from 280 226 250 year-ago. The Postmaster General warns next year’s card manufacturing costs may drop 25 000 as many communications shift to letters.
