Mary B. Crawford, widow of Joshua Crawford, won a sweeping victory in a Fulton county will dispute over a estate valued around $250,000. Audited testimony covered 48 heirs at law who sought to oust her and redistribute the estate, but auditor James L. Anderson found in her favor on most points though questioned some motives. Chief of Police Shot in Buckhead, Georgia Killing
Chief W. T. Chivers of Buckhead was shot and killed in Davis & Company store at 9 20 tonight by Forrest Adams after a dispute. Adams fled and was not yet captured as bystanders and posses pursued clues. Chivers, about 52, leaves a wife and two daughters Annie Chivers of Atlanta and Mrs R L Brown of Buckhead. Adams is a single man in the saw mill business.
