Episcopal minister Dr Atkinson condemns a cautious spirit in Atlanta claiming it verges on cowardice. He challenges Atlanta men, urging action and moral courage to act on own initiative rather than seek guidance from others.
Dean Atkinson preaches two sermons addressing the recent attack on a man and religion and urges Atlantans to act on conscience independent of moral masters. Dr J L White and Bratnes Beavers back Chap man meetings and oppose Sunday locker clubs, praising revival efforts. Attendees respond to Alexander revival as Dr H M Dufiose of First Methodist sends warm praise for the meetings.
Dean John R. Atkinson warned Atlantians against “moral masters” and urged self reliance during a forceful sermon at Havey theater. He urged support for Hubert E. Lee, offered to debate Dr. J Wilbur Chapman, and spoke on Get Right About God, portraying God as love and urging personal conscience in spiritual matters. The address ended with a pledge to preach to all souls, and a note that continued on page four.
Dr White denounces Dean Atkinson and the Men and Religion Movement in a Sunday sermon. He attacks the public dance hall, defends Chapman's meetings, and condemns Beavers Moon and Religion committees. He calls Atkinson mentally aberrant and jokes of King Arthur, urging Christians to close dance halls and stand with evangelists Chapman and Alexander.

Jitmemah Brothers of Atlanta sell stock and lease their Whitehall Street store to 3 W Willett and Bernard May of New York who plan to run the business as a modern clothing store. Eiseman Brothers aided the deal, inventory begins, and final management details are arranged with Willett or May likely to relocate to Atlanta.
D B Mathews, a 52 year old salesman living at 331 Euclid Avenue Inman Park, slashed his throat with a penknife last night while his wife read to him. he is in serious condition at Grady Hospital after a blood loss and paralysis from long illness. Mrs Mathews reported she could not stop him and their nurse and son were away.
An odd study in color reveals Atlanta’s clubs kept lockers closed Sunday as a cold, stormy day discouraged drinking. The city stayed dry all day with members visiting clubs yet finding no bracer. Weather turned blustery and wet, tempering spirits and closing bars across town.
Miss Mavis Baker of Tampa finishing a visit with M L Thrower party of four girls and a negro chauffeur rode an auto along the Marietta road near Bolton when the vehicle slipped on wet ground and plunged down a 24 foot embankment. Irene Thrower Catherine Roberts and Cecilia Thrower escaped with minor injuries while Miss Baker suffered facial lacerations.
Asa Goodwin born in Henry County Georgia 1807 died today in Hessamer Alabama on the eve of his 108th birthday. He lived in Alabama and Mississippi since 1829. Survived by one son, 74 grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Once a famed wild turkey hunter he killed his last Pilg turkey at age 101.
Atlanta, Ga. sources say Mrs Annette Pope Stegler, wife of Richard P. Stegler, was once married to Harry Dottenheim a local bartender. County Policeman Pope asserts the daughter is his and that the couple wed two years ago. Mrs Stegler denies prior marriage while Dottenheim insists he never knew her. A New York conference between Mrs Stegler and Dottenheim yielded no witnesses. Continued on last page.
Allied fleet bombardment of Dardanelles continues with forts silenced on the European side. Ottoman capital shifts to Broussa with the sultan's harem moved, while Sinai evacuation is confirmed. Russian offensive extends along the front with heavy fighting in Galicia and the Carpathians. British and French ships press near the forts as Belgium resumes combat and Clyde labor tensions loom.
Atlanta police officers Lon W. Evans and BB Haslett captured seven alleged burglars over two nights. Last night three suspects were dragged from beneath a bed. they admitted breaking into a store at 795 Marietta with intent to rebury the gas meter. Suspects named include Roy Acres 17, Marlotts Street. Hansel Moroie 16, Plum Street. Wil Ewing 35 Haden Alley. Bob Freeman, a negro, also arrested. Earlier, one suspect Jest night connected with five burglaries was taken from 31-B Taylor Street. Saturday midnight a Bellwood Avenue pressing club was burglarized and five suits stolen. Geer Lee 17 of Cine Street, A. V. Galley 19 of 277 on Avenue, and F. J. McNabil 16 of Oliver Street were arrested.
A Morlaix despatch says a boat from a British vessel named Liverpool, carrying two dead negro seamen, was found in Locquirs Bay. Bodies indicate death by exposure or starvation. The Liverpool may have been torpedoed or mined. four British ships named Liverpool are noted, the largest at 4176 tons last seen at Capetown in October.
