Carrie Reed a 24 year old typist at George Thamer & Co in Chicago was killed at 12 36 pm by an unknown man who then shot himself. He entered the desk area during lunch, spoke to her, fired three times, and fled as she screamed.
Double murder suicide ends in shed confrontation
A pursuer followed a woman to a lumber shed rear door where she was knocked down. The assailant fired twice into her breast and then killed himself with a final gunshot to the temple. Police have not yet identified either party. At the morgue the killer’s linen had the name removed except for Hunt on a sock.
