Guarantee on label not a sign of purity
Mobie Ala June 18 Dr Carlo Alsberg chief of the bureau of chemistry warned that the words Guaranteed under the Food and Drugs Act on a label do not prove contents are pure. He urged closer federal state cooperation and uniform laws, noting the act does not empower action in many cases and often merely aids prosecutions for mislabeling. The gathering included discussions by several state officials and a note that officer elections would be held Thursday.
