New Association of Music Lovers Backs Movement
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra association is forming to sponsor a series of municipal concerts. Fifty soloist musicians will form an Atlanta symphony orchestra to attract broad southern attendance. City leaders and civic groups back the plan with honorary directors including Mayor Walter A. Sims and Governor elect Clifford Walker. About 200 have enrolled as charter members. 1,000 supporting members are sought.

Memphis police say R C Rother died from burns after an explosion of a still. He was known in Memphis for liquor-law arrests. An unidentified man who summoned an ambulance at Beale Avenue vanished. Associates W E F Dunivan and C H McClanahan died in March 1922 from burns suspected to be from a similar incident.
