City Council Approves Crematory Contract Plan Despite Mayor’s Veto

The council adopted a 260000 allocation for easy crematory purchase and authorized a contract with the New Destruc tor company after Mayor James G. Woodward’s refusal to approve the finance sheet. Nutting resolution demands a city electric generating plant of 100000 be installed, with the company to retain possession pending contract completion. The mayor argues the Supreme Court voids the old contract and calls for a new agreement, while alderman Nutting accuses him of blocking the electric feature for unspecified interests.
