Prospective governors Dupont Guerry and Pope Brown were seen in town. Guerry said his view on prohibition would be stated in due course and that the court decision would not influence his governorship stance. The state treasury activity was light. treasurer changes and university events kept officials busy. The Supreme Court will hear the criminal docket soon, including the high-profile case of Mrs. Sacsh Dixon. Commissions were issued for two young officers to Fort Gaines and Bainbridge.
