Alumni Seek Campus Expansion For University Of Georgia
The alumni statewide are pursuing a plan to enlarge the University of Georgia campus by buying about 500 acres south of the current 37 acre site. Options total about 66 600, and an endowment fund near 190 000 is planned with a donor contributing 20 000 if 80 000 more is raised to reach 100 000 for Agricultural College work. Funds would expand the campus rather than build dormitories and gyms, with hopes of 100 000 available to the legislature for an agricultural college.
