Tomorrow morning the store announces a sweeping clearance selling every remnant and short length under its roof. Departments show gains of 50 to 500 percent this season and now all remnants including silks, waists, linens, wash fabrics are offered at prices designed to move them quickly.
Short items recount a early morning blaze in a two story frame building at Marietta and Simpson streets, several fires around Atlanta, plus a string of local incidents. Notable notes include a monument committee for General Walker, can of gasoline fire on East Fair street, and multiple minor injuries and court actions from the day.
