Bill Lambert 17 of 25 Dill Avenue died at Grady Hospital from a fractured skull after a jitney side-swept by a large motor truck on Forsyth Street between Mitchell and Hunter. The jitney carried seven passengers and was driven by Albert Parker. the truck belonged to Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank and was operated by Ernest Davis. Both drivers were arrested for reckless driving. Parker posted 1000 bond, Davis 500, both bonds met. Coroner’s inquest unlikely. Recorder Johnson to hear case Saturday.
