Governor Slaton plans to accompany a delegation to the pencil factory to inspect the scene and second floor rooms. An anti commutation mass meeting was held on Capitol grounds Sunday with speakers arguing against clemency.

Five people escaped serious harm when a car left the road near a curve beyond the Southern bridge four miles from Marietta and crashed into a telephone pole. Leonora Rheams a New Orleans singer, suffered scalp and hand lacerations. George Braunganty a hardware dealer from Currier Street, suffered a back sprain. Both were taken to Grady Hospital. Mrs A J Butler and Mrs T J Everett and another guest rode with them, all shaken but uninjured. The car was wrecked.
