Supreme Court upholds Georgia gas rate confiscation claim
The Georgia Supreme Court rules gas rates fixed by the railroad commission valid and enforceable. Georgia Railway and Power Co. had argued rates were confiscatory and that the Atlastra Gas Light lease affected franchise value. The state rebutted focusing on proper rate‑making items, while Justice McKenna filed a dissent.
