Marshal Write of Chipley Georgia shoots and kills John Haray in a fight sparked by a cowhide dispute. The incident occurred in Chipley prompting police to file a report and investigate the clash that left Haray dead. Authorities call for witnesses to come forward as the case proceeds.
In Chipley Cripley Ga on June 8 Dr Tolin Ward a renowned physicist was shot to death in S A Goodman store by Dr Hardy after a confrontation involving Mayor Goodman and Marshal White. The altercation ended with Ward killed and Goodman wounded. White fired as Hardy shot through the arm. The scene left several bystanders injured and Hardy jailed.
Confused report details a submerged submarine near the Solent with crew feared dead. Survivors recalled but later reports indicate an explosion and sinking with several officers and sailors entombed.
