Immanuel Baptist Church Opens in Atlanta After Eight Years
East Fair street and Berean avenue were opened Sunday for Immanuel Baptist Church. Begun eight years ago, the church grew from a two room cottage to a substantial building as funds allowed. The church, started by the Young Men's Missionary Society, evolved through sites at a Congregational church, an old factory, and finally the present lot after Second Baptist deeded the property. Rev J S Goodwin resigned, leaving the church stake independent and in need of a new pastor to lead the growing congregation of about one hundred members.
