Rector Crapsey Fights Verdict in Church Trial Appeal
Rector Crapsey of St. Andrew's parish appeals a church court verdict at Batavia after being found guilty of heresy. He contends the trial denied proper preparation time and that the court overstepped by judging doctrine. He argues suspension from ministry would not reflect the church's creeds and seeks reversal.

The section would let interstate traffic move through a quarantined state under rules, sparing regular train runs from disruptions. A push exists to withdraw that section rather than defeat the bill. Big Lumber Fire in New York also reported, with two simultaneous blazes destroying a Rockaway Avenue lumber yard owned by Joseph M Cohen and damaging three Watkins Street tenements, causing about $104,000 in losses and leaving eighteen families homeless.
