White Man Arrested Charged With Hold-Up
H. M. Parham, a white man, was arrested last night by Call Officers Bentley and Wood and charged with holding up and attempting to rob Oscar Wike, a printer with Foote & Davies, at the corner of Martin and Weabington streets. Wike was struck with brass knuckles and badly injured, later returning home after treatment.

Statesboro Editor Stabbed Three Times in courthouse yard
Statesboro Georgia July 1 special report says J R Miller editor of the Statesboro News and school trustee was stabbed in two places by A J Bird a Metter farmer during a trustees meeting. Bird charged the district school is unfit for girls and fled after the attack. Miller struck back, Bird stabbed him again injuring the side throat and shoulder. Bird is out on bond as investigations continue.

Special Columbus H Glass, a brakeman on a freight train, died after being caught under wheels during a side-track coupling near Marietta. He sustained both legs crushed and an arm broken, was taken to Nobrew sanitarium, but died before treatment. He had long service with the railroad and was well known between Atlanta and Chattanooga. Body to be brought to Atlanta for burial with funeral arrangements by Brandon's undertaking. He resided on West Mitchell street.
