Insurance Interest Clash Over Georgia Invest Law
A Senate committee heard insurers oppose a measure forcing Life Insurance companies to invest 7B per cent of reserves in Georgia business. Georgia and Texas officials argued over reciprocal laws and capital flight, with Georgia firms warning the state could lose funds and raise loan costs for farmers if the bill passes.
