Adolph Zukor of Famous Players testified in the Tufts case that half of a $50,000 payment was his own share and half paid for Jesse Lasky. He said Lasky attended a party but could not recall details of the event or participants. The deposition was presented by Attorney General J Weston Allen as the state contends Boston lawyers conspired to extort $100,000 from movie magnates and oust Tufts from office.
