Forsyth Street Grading Begins
Superintendent of Construction RB M Clayton started Forsyth street grade changes between Alabama and Mitchell streets. Crews tore up sidewalks at Forsyth Hunter corners while an $8400 estimate was covered by local property owners who advanced 38400 and promised 200 if needed. The project may take five to six weeks with many men, and the new Forsyth surface at Hunter will rise about three and a half feet. The grade shifts north and south merging points, forcing Hunter street adjustments and track work by the street car company.
