New Augusta Railway Road Aims to Link Louisville and Wrens

The line would shorten the trip to Augusta, shifting Jefferson county trade toward Augusta. Merchants are expected to subscribe, and the country is level enough to suggest a cost near 5000 dollars per mile. Prominent citizens from Augusta and Louisville support the project.
