This marks the sixth oil can fatality in forty eight hours in the area.
In Lonnox on July 18. Conservative MP Mr Hume Long accused Dr Charles Lee Tanner of insulting him in the lobby. Tanner called Long a snob and a Tory. Debate followed on suspending Tanner. ultimately he was to sit on Thursday next. Lords discussed the crimes bill.
At a county board meeting the Atlanta and Edgewood Railway company sought permission to extend its line to Piedmont fair grounds and later circle Edgewood. The Gate City Street Railway line won approval to Jackson Street and Boulevard with conditions. Officials argued the company would boost expositions and serve Edgewood residents, while critics warned against delaying grading for other routes.
