Pair of sports contract clauses sparks legal clash
Chicago July 17 The presence of a ten day clause in pitcher Gioree M Johnsons contract with the Cin Seanad Nationals was held a fatal objection to the negative covenant by which the player agreed not to play for any other team. The appellate court reversed the superior courts injunction preventing Johnson from playing with the Kansas City Federals. Dissolution of the injunction postponed to next week to allow a possible rehearing.
