Through a Bridge a Santa Fe Train Plunges, Killing and Injuring
A Santa Fe freight train bound from Denver to Colorado Springs fell through a bridge near here at 11 o clock this morning. Three were killed, three fatally injured, and about fifteen hurt. The wreck killed engineer M Chills 425 and coroman, with several workers thrown into a gulch below. J C Childe, foreman of the bridge gang, died saving Mrs Cooper as debris collapsed. Earlier reports say twenty three cars carried stores and lumber. A separate Rochester division wreck near Nunda hill killed engineer John Stout and fireman Alarth of Oem.

Harrisburg July 11 Special The Cotton States and International Exposition commission met in the executive department chaired by Governor Hastings. Plans for a state building on the exposition grounds were presented with a cost not exceeding 5009, excluding architect and furnishing. The liberty bell will have a dedicated guarded building. A portrait of Governor Hastings will be displayed in the state building. The commission expanded its standing committees and named Grady Singerly Painter Powell and Beatty Powell to finance and relief. An exhibit of Pennsylvania educational and industrial institutions was approved and Standard Oil will be asked to exhibit oil processes. Secretary Keenan will coordinate space needs with exposition managers for a state exhibit. Pennsylvanian exhibitors are applying for space. the resources and industries will be properly displayed. The president’s trip plans include a possible stop in Allan Buzzards Bay before October.
