Col Reuben Arnold Dies After Prolonged Illness
Colonel Reuben Arnold a former Georgia political figure and father of Reuben R. Arnold and Lowry Arnold died at his home in Hapeville after six months illness. He was born 1823 in Greeneville Tennessee and led the Twenty-ninth Tennessee regiment in the war before settling in Atlanta then moving to Hapeville. He is survived by five children from his first marriage and three from the second. Funeral services will be held Thursday at the residence of Colonel Reuben FR Arnold at Ponce de Leon and Piedmont avenues.
