Harvey Johnson Likely Candidate for Atlanta Mayor
Indications point to Harvey Johnson entering the Atlanta mayoral race this year. Johnson plans to decide publicly within a week or ten days, while friends push for his candidacy and others step back from mayoral bids. If Johnson runs, alderman Woodward and Cabaniss are expected to join, with resignations possible to focus on campaigns. The city Democratic white primary is slated for mid October, with August discussions guiding dates and campaign kickoff.
