July 11 Special. Two women sentenced to the penitentiary for life and one to death. Debby Nobles acquitted despite involvement. Nobles and Gus Famblies found guilty of murder. Palton Joyner acquitted. The old woman remained indignant. the daughter vilified as outcast.

Brunswick Ga July 1 Special The Fourth regiment held its last dress parade before breaking camp tomorrow and marching to Brunswick for an exhibition parade then home Speaker Charles F Crisp was guest of honor today He reviewed the troops this afternoon and later spoke to nearly 2000 soldiers and visitors at the pavilion Captain Wooten of the Albany Guards served as officer of the day.
The steamer Kite with the Peary relief expedition aboard steamed from St Johns Newfoundland at daylight for Greenland. A new shaft was installed on the Kite and tested before departure, working satisfactorily. Weather is clear and wind favorable.
Murphy North Carolina July 11 Special report details a fatal shooting after jealousy and infidelity rumors. R Louis Denniss chairman of county board shot his wife Jennyss after a pursuit involving her alleged lover Wilkinson from Asheville. The wife died from a chest wound. Wilkinson escaped and was later to be arrested. The coroner ordered an inquest and the community mourns the prominent local figure.

The judge holds wages are not subject to garnishment and cuts a Tennessee practice of non resident note releases from personal service.
In Birmingham on July 11 Major Samuel Houston a saloon keeper and Wat Stanley a town figure fought a street duel near the Florence hotel corner. Six or eight shots were fired with Branley struck in the calf. Houston escaped unhurt. The quarrel stemmed from a card game several nights earlier. A spent bullet hit a pedestrian at some distance but did not penetrate.
The Henley regatta reached its final heats on July 11 with Trinity Hall Cambridge edging New College by a third of a length in the grand challenge, a close and spectacular race lasting seven minutes thirty seconds. Eton won the ladies plate, and London Rowing Club claimed the Stewart challenge cup as spectators flocked to the river. The Cornell team planned to return to Henley in 1894 after a prosperous day of racing and social events.
