Baptist Tabernacle Plans Large Atlanta Auditorium

The Baptist Tabernacle Church in Atlanta completed a two-part real estate purchase totaling about 662,000 for land and two adjoining lots on Luckie and Spring streets. It aims to build a monumental auditorium to seat seven thousand, host conventions, and provide space for a merged church and business complex near the city center. Ground work and a 12,300 lot were also acquired for an infirmary, with further development planned as Sunday and Bible conference needs grow. Dr Broughton confirmed the deal and future building committee setup, noting the center-city location is essential for expanding reach and revenue.
