Atlanta shoppers are urged to seize a July White Goods Sale offering drastic cuts on ready-to-wear and white fabrics. The ad touts fifty-class walking skirts, linen dresses, shadows of silk petticoats, and hundreds of overstocked items at up to half price, with emphasis on new, clean summer stock direct from mills and extraordinary value for Monday and following days.
Fifteen tables laden with low prices showcase Indian Madras, Persian Lawn, Batiste Clair, Swiss Dotted fabrics and more. Textured rows list yard prices from 8 to 38 cents, highlighting 36 inch India Linen at 19c and 48 inch French Lawn at 23c. Strong value locally on imported linens and textiles.
A sale offers 5000 yards of imitation Torchon Lace Edgings and Insertions in wide and narrow goods in many patterns. Laces priced down from regular 10¢ per yard. Includes colored and ecru batistes with embroideries and white chiffon goods. Corset covers, skirt trimming, and shirt waist embroideries in Swiss and Nalecok go on sale at reduced prices Monday. Also Swiss and Cambric embroidery edgings and insertions, many patterns, with prices greatly reduced.

Also advertised are white silk belts belted items assorted buttons hose supporters and cosmetic products. The notice promotes other items such as belts belts sets and an accordion plaiting service with order instructions.
The Constitution reports formation of the Alkahest Home and Printing Company a $200000 stock venture to establish an ideal cooperative community near Atlanta. The Bob Collins home in Ormewood Park is chosen with nine stores two springs and a central club house. The plan aims to house managers and employees and to become a center for literary and educational enterprises with a printing plant and publishing department.
Robert L Jackson, a lineman for the Georgia Railway and Electric Co., was instantly killed while stringing a wire on a ladder at Fair and South Forsyth. Another lineman, Jock Mashburn, survived with two sons and a wife left behind. Jackson’s body to be moved to Chamblee for burial. The report notes the elder child among the Fulton lodge workers’ union family.
A town party holds nineteen properties along Maple and Foundry streets. Listings show rent amounts for each address including 240 Foundry, 160 Maple, 242 Foundry, 246 Maple, 164 Maple, 24 Foundry, and 238 Foundry, with rents ranging from 6 to 8 dollars.
