Stephens Dominates Georgia Delegates in Primary Returns

Georgia counties report strong support for Alexander H. Stephens for governor with the majority rule, while delegates from many counties are instructed or inclined to back Stephens and oppose the two thirds rule. The convention action details varied by county with Stephens favored in numerous mass meetings and local committees endorsing his nomination and the majority-rule principle.
