Governor Brown announced the appointment of W. W. Larsen of Swainsboro as executive secretary to succeed C. C. Brant. Larsen, 87, will handle warrants pardons rewards and respites and other duties. He studied at South Georgia Military College and the State University and has practiced law in Georgia for years. He previously partnered with F. H. Safford and served as city court solicitor of Swainsboro. He belongs to several orders including Masons Odd Fellows and Knights of Pythian.

Three Die in Cliff Drive Auto Crash at Cliff Drive
Three persons were killed and three badly injured when a car owned by John Mahoney lost control on Cliff Drive and Agnes avenue, plunged 40 feet over an embankment, turning end over end. Passengers included Mrs John Mahoney Thomas McGuird and child 7 years old. Mahoney, O’Connor, and a seven year old were named among the injured. The car, described as a large machine, was demolished and the victims mutilated. the injured were reported as possibly dying.
