Prisoner Bryson Testifies In Hall County Lynching Case
Tom Bryson describes his movements before and after the July 13 killing of Si Smith in Hall County. He says he traveled from Maysville to Lula, met Taylor Hamilton, rode Evan’s bus to Gainesville, and later walked to Summer’s store where he ate and then continued toward Turner’s store, denying knowledge of Hamilton’s later appearance. Sheriff Mundy recounts the crime and identifies Hamilton’s dubious past.
