President Roosevelt sent to Congress his commission report on national conservation calling the firstInventory of natural resources. It urges $60,000 to perpetuate the work, warns of waste in minerals, coal, petroleum, iron, and gas, and stresses intergovernmental cooperation to preserve assets for posterity. The survey cites coal output, mineral values, and looming exhaustions, with data from 1907 to 1912 and notes a continuation on Page Nine.

Washington January 22 Colonel John S Mosby a famed Confederate guerrilla fighter now a senior attorney in the United States Department of Justice is reported gravely ill in Washington His condition was described as serious and expected to improve tonight in his home city after hospitalization and medical care.

Savannah January 22 Judge Walter G Charitan told the grand jury that a juror appeared in court under the influence of whisky. Frarde Merter aged 22 died after a neck fracture from an upstairs fall at 1264 Whitehall Street. Investigating officers and the coroner warranted further inquiry. Cottingham and Stewart, witnesses, were detained to testify at an inquest held at the police station. Carter, an elderly pensioner, lived at 1202 Whitehall Street. the accident occurred at 7 o'clock in room No 2. Witnesses say Carter fell and struck his head near a chair. he died after arrival at Grady Hospital ten minutes later.
