The body of Key Boyce was laid to rest at Cave Hill cemetery after a formal memorial service at Broadway Baptist Church. Amid cold wind and rain the church was draped in black as Dr. L. M. Evansville dispatch reports the Louisville St Louis and Texas bridge over Green River at Spotteville Ky broke when a force tore up the draw and track. Five men drowned and several were fatally injured while workers fled the scene amid a confused injunction dispute and missing communications.

In Accomne county Virginia two young men Andrew Ashmead and Kellam engaged in a rumor sparked dispute over Ashmead’s belief he was a woman. A pistol was drawn after a dress color quarrel, wounding Kellam and Ashmead. Both men fled to bed, bonds set by county court, mirror of Lily Duer insanity acquittal in the Ducharne tragedy near the Virginia line.
