Interest in Highways Growing Over South
JW Sibley of Birmingham says southern interest in modern public roads is rising due to interstate highways. He notes Harrison County Mississippi voted 6400000 for a brick paved Biloxi to Pass Christian road, with a 1500000 bond for a sea wall. Florida and Alabama projects advance, linking Jacksonville to Tampa and Birmingham to the Warrior River, signaling a new era of southern highway building.
