Finance sheet battle opens this afternoon
The finance committee will submit the sheet at the afternoon meeting. It is expected the council will debate the recommendations for a 205000 overrun of city revenue. The mayor is certain to veto the sheet, while some members argue it has enough support to override. The city should live within its means, asserts the mayor. The city attorney says reasonable revenue anticipations are legal, though opinions vary on a 300000 estimate.
