SULLY SAYS THE WORLD CAN USE MORE COTTON
In New Orleans a Progressive Union meeting heard A Brittin and Dan J Daly discuss cotton prices. Brittin argued supply and demand govern prices, not bulls. Hayne noted cotton's higher value benefits the south, while Sully defended his stance as natural market outcomes. He predicted a 12,000,000 bale US crop and rising prosperity for mills with higher cotton prices.
