Louisiana's Reconstruction Era Message and Colfax Atrocity Mention

A fragmented 19th century dispatch discusses postwar Louisiana politics, Kellogg and Warmoth, and federal court actions enforcing the 15th Amendment. It cites election fraud, violence, Colfax shootings, and the broader struggle to enforce Republican governance in a turbulent Reconstruction era. The piece references Kellogg as governor, contested results, and federal intervention framing the era's legal battles.
