Morse Aids Young Man To Fresh Start In Life
New York January 11 Through the sympathy of Charles W Morse on Wall Street the financier willed to help a young Texan James Wilson by securing a fifteen year prison sentence for breaking the federal banking laws. Wilson had been arrested last February on suspicion after three antique silver items were found in his Mills Hotel quarters. He was jailed near Mr Morse’s cell. Morse told Wilson he had bought the three items at an auction in Chicago and hoped to return home to Galveston. When Wilson came up for arraignment today there was no evidence against him. He handed the judge a note written to Mr Morse promising to work his way back to Galveston. He was discharged and started for Galveston.
