Seven Boys Held for Burglaries
Detectives arrested five boys Friday and last night two 16 year olds Henry Jones of 104 Racine avenue and Omer Lantks ford of 341 Woodward avenue were taken into custody in connection with daylight burglaries in Atlanta. About 1200 dollars worth of stolen goods including jewelry watches pistols clothes and more were recovered from two young actresses Clara Oliver 18 and Billie Brown 19 who were found with stolen goods in their rooms at 46 East Mitchell street. The five boys are John Knox 18 of 334 West Fifth street MS Strickland 19 of 146 Walker street D L Daniel 28 of 241 Woodward avenue H F Perkerson 111 Powell street and L F Alexander 232 Luckie street. Knox confessed the gang met daily at a soda stand at Fairlie and Luckie streets to plan daytime robberies. He described approaching homes rang doorbells and then entering when occupants were away.
