General Simon Bolivar Buckner longtime Kentucky figure and Civil War lieutenant general died at his Glen Zly home near Munfordville Hart County. Born April 1 1825 he led Kentucky from 1887 to 1891 and ran on the Gold Democratic ticket in 1896. He will be buried in Frankfort state cemetery.

Joel D L Foster president of International Poultry Farms and son of T J Foster of Scranton and Miss Delilah Bradley 18 of Pemberton N J were found today by federal authorities at a local hotel and could not be located. Foster is held on $2000 bond to await examination January 14 for violating the Mann white slave act. Miss Bradley is held on $500 as a witness. Foster and Miss Bradley registered as J M Foster and wife of New York on December 33. Foster is about 40 and his wife and 16 year old daughter are in Scranton. Reports say this is his second such escapade and connects to a Philadelphia elopement years ago.
