Street Car Paving Hearing Continued in Atlanta
Judge John Pendleton continued the mandamus hearing brought by the city of Atlanta against Georgia Railway and Power to compel paving between tracks on Lee Street from Park Avenue to McCalla crossing, three-quarters of a mile, delaying from Friday to Monday morning. The city, through James L. Mayson and Jesse M. Wood, argues the street’s dilapidated condition stems from the company’s failure to maintain its tracks and right of way. The company claims abutting property owners must pave their sections before it is obligated to pave between the tracks.
