Woman slain near Bowdon as two youths held
In Bowdon Georgia Otis Harper and Monroe Rollins were charged with killing Mrs Franie Chapman Rooks at her home ten miles south of Bowdon after an inquest found head and back injuries. Daring burglaries keep police busy in city
Last night two burglaries and several car thefts strained police resources. A snatch thief grabbed Mrs. Calhoun’s handbag outside her West Eleventh Street home. At 211 Oakland Avenue, Mrs. Castles’ window was cut and jewelry and cash stolen. At Mandel’s Grocery, 503 Glenn Street, thieves took bacon, flour, lard, tobacco and cigars. Two five passenger Fords were stolen from Exchange Place and the Ansley hotel area.
