Jackson Ga February 21 Special For the purpose of holding a fair in Jackson this stock company has been organized and stock will be sold to farmers merchants bankers and professional men throughout the country A meeting will be held in Jackson Tuesday to elect officers and formally organize for the 1918 fair.
Warrants charging serious offenses against Americus youths Jesse Westbrook and Lem Bramiee in Terrell county may be withdrawn. The warrants stem from alleged connections with a Terrell county girl, and authorities indicated the action is probable. Further details were not disclosed.
Des Moines Iowa February 21 President Wilard filed an affidavit with the secretary of state as a Democratic presidential candidate for the Iowa primary set for April 10. The year also sees eleven U S army officers and ten naval officers retire from active service.

Washington February 21 The constitutionality of the Florida road tax law making it a criminal offense to refuse to work on the roads was upheld today by the supreme court in the case of Jake Butler who was convicted in Columbia county. Florida Butler contended that the law imposed involuntary servitude upon him.
